Hochosterwitz is one of the most famous castles in Austria. Its location on top of a 150 metre high rock is simply unique. Thanks to the 14 defensive gates and the brilliant defensive architecture the castle was never conquered! The castle has been owned by the Khevenhüller family since its construction in the 16th century.

The 12-kilometre-long and almost 2-kilometre-wide Millstätter Lake, situated 588 metres above sea level is not only the deepest lake (142 metres) but also one of the warmest swimming lakes in Carinthia, Austria. The lake's surroundings invite impressive hiking trips, with the cultural accent of the respected Millstatt monastery and its church on the north side of the lake. Nine docks around the lake provide plenty of opportunity to hop on and off the boats.

The village of Heiligenblut with its totally unique mountain back drop at the foot of Austria’s highest glacier - the Großglockner - is one of the most idyllic and beautiful villages in the whole country. The impressive church and the famous Briccius Chapel are a popular destination for pilgrimages. The most famous alpine road leads up the highest mountain and the biggest glacier in Austria – the Grossglockner (at 3,798 metres altitude) with the “Pasterze” glacier tongue clearly seen between “Glockner” and “Johannisberg”.

The primary goal of the bird of prey flight show is to bring birds of prey closer to the audience and to share some valuable knowledge about these fantastic animals with the visitor. The birds have been born in captivity and have not been taken from the wild. During a 40 minute show you will see the free flying birds of prey sailing through the sky against the wonderful backdrop of the famous Castle Landskron.

Set your eyes on this wonderful landscape. For every nature fan the drive across the Nock Mountains is a fascinating visual experience. The 35-kilometre-long Nockalm Road conquers an area of distinctive natural beauty with numerous serpentine twists. And there are plenty of pubs and restaurants along the way to stop for a well-deserved break.
