Born to be wild
Encounter in the morning – from June 22nd until August 17th
A good part of the day is dedicated to wild animals. Stone eagles, chamois, red deer, roe deer and groundhogs. Watching wildlife in the mornings is like an ode dedicated to god’s creation - free from fear they play spontaneously. This is a sensational experience for early risers. Afterwards a real Alpine herdsman's breakfast awaits the game watcher.

Swiss Pine hike
At the Turracher Heights – from July 7th until October 6th
An interesting journey of discovery through the centuries looking at this typical tree of the Nock Mountains. Via root steps we enter the Swiss Pine forest to make a scented bag full of the finest ingredients. Discover the symbiosis of Swiss pine and lichen, learn to recognise fungi while going on a relaxed, interesting walk within a unique landscape, under the guidance of an experienced National Park guide.
Every Wednesday, meeting point at the lower terminus of the Kornockbahn cable car, at the Turracher Height.

Heidi Alp Chalet at the Falkert
The Heidi Alp Chalet is located at 1,875m right in the heart of the Carinthian Nock Mountains between Bad Kleinkirchheim and the Turracher Height. On 28,000sqm of rustic mountain landscapes in the midst of a Swiss pine forest more than 100 figures from the Heidi movie wait for small and big visitors alike.
The chalet of the “Alp-Öhi” is a tiny museum and the free-roaming goats do indeed remind you of Heidi’s adventures. The great new Heidi slide is “the highlight for kids” and your family hike into the Nock Mountains will be the climax of your family holiday as you enjoy the fantastic Heidi story.
